North Texas Animal Rescue Foundation
We are a small, foster-based rescue serving the small towns of North Texas — the places big shelters and large organizations rarely reach. Our dogs and cats wait in loving homes, never kennels, cared for by neighbors who know them by name. Together, we help each one find the family it deserves.
Every animal deserves to be loved. Too many in North Texas are still waiting — left behind, lost, or simply out of time.
We are their second chance. In our foster homes, each dog and cat is fed, cared for, and truly known. Then we match them — gently, and with care — with a family to love them for life.
We belong to small towns. The big shelters are far away, in cities that rarely reach this far. So we stay close to home. The places the big organizations cannot reach — that is where we are.
In a small town, everyone knows each other. Our local shops and small businesses stand behind us. Foster families open their doors. Neighbors lend a hand. Together, we share one simple wish: every animal, in every small town, deserves a second chance.

Don't see your match? New animals come into our care regularly, and not every rescue is listed right away. Tell us what kind of companion you're hoping for — we'll keep you in mind the moment the right one arrives.
Send an application for the animal you're drawn to. We read every one personally — no algorithms, no rush.
Spend real time together, ideally with everyone in the household — resident pets included.
Take them home for a trial stay so you can both be sure it's right before anything is final.
Sign the paperwork, pay the adoption fee, and start your life together. We stay a phone call away.
With gratitude
NTAR is powered by corporate sponsorship. The businesses that stand behind us turn compassion into capacity — more vet appointments kept, more bowls filled, more animals pulled to safety.
“Every exam, every vaccine, every bag of food and every warm foster bed exists because a sponsor partner believed these animals were worth it. Our sponsors don't just fund rescue — they are rescue.”
Presenting Partner
Our flagship sponsor — the name behind the rescue
Bo Hotel Group stands behind NTAR with our deepest level of support. Their generosity gives the rescue a home base to operate from and keeps every foster bowl filled with quality dog food — the ground everything else stands on.
Care Sponsor
Enjoy the Sunshine Life
Oulivey is a regular in-kind donor to the rescue — their recurring gifts of quality goods keep our shelves stocked and our day-to-day operations running, month after month: quietly, reliably, and generously.
Community Partner
Our hometown hotel
Canadian's own Econo Lodge — known to locals for years as the Bo Hotel before it joined the Econo Lodge family — stands with the rescue as a community partner, rooted in the same small town our animals call home.
Community Partner
Discount store · Canadian, Texas
Proud sponsor of NTAR, supporting local rescue work. BOZI STORE is our founder's own discount store in Canadian, Texas — the shop our neighbors already know, standing behind the animals who share our small town. Half of the store's profits come back to the rescue — to food, to care, and to second chances.
Sponsorship packages are tailored to each partner — tell us about your business and the impact you'd like to make, and we'll build the right fit together.
A note on giving: NTAR is not accepting public donations at this time. Our work is funded personally by our founder and by the corporate sponsors above — if your business would like to stand behind rescue work in small-town North Texas, start a sponsorship conversation.

Our flagship piece: a heavyweight wine-red hoodie with the NTAR name and paw embroidered in large cream letters across the chest. Unisex, sizes XS–3XL.
Built for chilly barn mornings and adoption-event days alike: a heavyweight fleece pullover with a kangaroo pocket, cream drawstrings, and ribbed cuffs and hem. The NTAR name is embroidered — never printed — in large cream letters across the chest, with our paw mark stitched beneath it, so it reads from across the room and holds up wash after wash. Unisex fit, sizes XS through 3XL. Every hoodie sold funds food and veterinary care for the animals in our foster homes.
For the four-legged ambassadors: a wine-red bandana with the NTAR name and paw in cream. Three sizes, from kitten-adjacent to Great Dane.
A classic triangle bandana in breathable cotton, in our signature wine-red with the NTAR name and paw printed in cream at the center — big, bold, and unmistakable in photos. Tie it on for adoption events, holiday cards, or everyday main-street strutting. Three sizes: S for cats and toy breeds, M for most dogs, L for the gentle giants. Machine washable, and every bandana helps fund the rescue's foster program.
Garment-washed twill in wine red, the NTAR name and paw embroidered front and center, brass slider at the back. One size, endlessly wearable.
A six-panel, unstructured cap in garment-washed cotton twill — soft from the first wear, with that just-right broken-in feel. The NTAR name is embroidered in cream across the front with our paw mark beneath it, and a brass slider at the back adjusts to fit just about every head. Texas sun approved: it shades kennel runs, farmers markets, and ball games equally well, and quietly starts conversations about rescue everywhere it goes.
The piece that started the collection: stemmed glasses etched with a paw and the NTAR name — wine red in the glass, rescue at heart.
The piece that started the whole collection. Each stemmed glass is deep-etched with a large frosted paw print above the NTAR name — bold against the glass and made to be noticed when you raise a toast. Sold as a pair, they're sized for a generous pour of red (wine-red, naturally) and make an easy gift for the dog lover who hosts. Hand-wash recommended to keep the etching crisp for years of toasts to second chances.
Meet our founder
Founder & Director
Years in animal protection, long before NTAR had a name.
That experience once included partnering with the Beihai city government in Guangxi, China, to help rescue hawksbill sea turtles.
She founded NTAR in Canadian, Texas — and it has never been hers alone. Sponsors who fund the work, fosters who open their homes, neighbors who refuse to look away: together, they share one vision — and that shared effort carries the work: rescue, foster care, medical aid, and rehoming.
“No rescue is one person's work. Ours is a promise we share: every animal in front of us gets its second chance.”

Get involved
Fosters are the reason NTAR exists. Every open foster home is one more animal we can say yes to. Here's what it actually involves:
You give a rescued animal a safe, loving place to land: a bed, meals, patience, and a glimpse of normal home life. You help us learn their personality, keep up basic routines, and bring them to vet appointments and adoption meet-and-greets.
It varies — days for an emergency placement, a few weeks for most animals, occasionally longer for seniors or animals recovering from treatment. You always tell us your availability windows first, and we match placements to them.
Very little to start. NTAR provides food, supplies, and covers veterinary care; you provide the home, transportation, and love. If you already have a crate, toys, or an extra room, wonderful — if not, we'll set you up.
It happens, and we celebrate it — fosters get first consideration to adopt their foster animal. We call it a "foster fail," and it's the happiest failure there is.
Whether you're ready to adopt, your company wants to sponsor rescue work, or you just want to know more about Cora — write to us. A real person (usually Ziwei) reads and answers every message.
